Context

Fives Services inc. is an expert in material lifting and handling equipment, with extensive experience across a variety of industries including postal, aluminium, steel, automotive, hydropower, pulp and paper, mining and aeronautics. Our specialists design, develop and install overhead cranes, jib cranes or gantry cranes to suit any need, whether indoor, outdoor, under running or top running solutions. We integrate and distribute parts from all major brands and offer a large catalog of services.

 

Main purpose

The role of the Technical Sales Representative is to ensure the link between customers and Fives Services. He routes the requests, makes the estimates and prepares the files sold to be processed by the various internal stakeholders. He ensures the prospection of new customers in order to develop long-term partnerships and ensures the maintenance of relationships with existing customers by providing excellent customer service. In addition, he is able to offer technical support and propose innovative solutions, quotation and support the director in project management.

 

Duties and Tasks

  • Work closely with the Regional director to develop new and existing business opportunities;
  • Follow up on Sales and Marketing leads and provide reports as directed by company directives;
  • Provide sales support to project Department through interaction with the customer, creation of quotes, order processing and strategic account planning;
  • Identify current and future customer for sales / service requirements and propose how Fives Services can meet them;
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and services;
  • Answer quotation requests and follow-up: deliver and review quotes with customers, answers technical and commercial questions;
  • Promote HSE values and perform risk assessments;
  • Travelling within the territory.

Profil

Education & qualifications

  • Technical diploma in relevant discipline (electrical, mechanical or automation) or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, in an industrial field;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Problem solver and critical thinker capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment;Can handle schedule changes at a moment’s notice;
  • Driver licence without any restriction;
  • Working knowledge of an ERP (currently SAP), an asset;
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Google environment.
