Located in the machine shop the tool setter will be responsible for delivering on tooling requirements to produce a range of components across multiple CNC machines.

Main duties and responsibilities:

·        Building and modular tools for use on CNC Machine tools in line quality policies to keep the machine shop production flowing

·        Maintain stock of high usage tooling and creating requisitions to replace and/or repair tooling.

·        Being ancillary to supervision and machinists with spark erosion, file and dress, bead blast and blackening operations as required.

·        Inspect and measure tools to ensure right first time and on time delivery.

·        Maintain safe work practices and work in align with Health and Safety procedures

·        Work to 5s standards

·        Suggests opportunities to reduce cost

·        Excellent organisation & communication skills

·        Able to read tooling drawings

·        Able to work under pressure with a flexible approach to changing work demands

·        Engineering knowledge with a mechanical aptitude

·        Knowledge on use of Zoller TMS (advantageous)
