Job content

Responsible for monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier and internal manufacturing and assembly quality performance using various quality methodologies and KPI's. Ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely resolution of complaints. Be responsible for driving changes and improvements in operational excellence, culture and Right First-Time mindset within the business.

Main duties and responsibilities:

         ·         Ensure the quality of supplied and manufactured products are in compliance with the engineering and manufacturing specifications, and where applicable any company and government standards.

         ·         Liaise directly with suppliers, customers and numerous internal functions to ensure all non-conformances are fully investigated and appropriate and robust corrective and preventative actions are implemented.

         ·         Demonstrate supplier performance through monthly KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and implement improvement activities with poor performing suppliers.

         ·         Liaise effectively with customer personnel on site acting as an ambassador for Fives Landis.

         ·         Lead 8D investigations within the business

         ·         Support continuous improvement via involvement in methodologies such as PFMEA's, PPAP's, QRQC etc...

         ·         Support external ISO audits

         ·         Perform internal audits to the IMS, supplier audits and Safety Walks

         ·         Lead business initiations that relate to improvements in Quality the reductions in the CONQ and support the overall evolving business strategy

Education and Experiences

Key requirements:                         

·        4-year mechanical apprenticeship

·        Excellent in-house and external communication, presentation and liaison skills

·        Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes

·        Ability to problem-solve and be meticulous with analysis and investigation

·        Use own initiative to investigate and resolve problems

·        Working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

·        Understanding of, and ability to use Quality methodologies such as 8D and 5WHY investigations tools, SPC (Statistical Process Control), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), Pareto analysis, PPM

·        Support the company in maintaining its ISO9001 accreditation

·        Process improvement – Identify and provide guidance on improving process efficiency while maintaining a high level of quality, safety and reliability

Preferred qualifications and experience:

·        ONC, HNC & HND

·        Historical experience in a Quality role
