A Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with the company's strategies, commitments and objectives that meet financial budgets and milestones. The position maintains relationships between the manufacturing company, supply chain partners and the customer base in which it sells and distributes the manufacturing company's products to.

 

Duties & Responsibilities All duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Develop and facilitate full scale project plans using tools such as Microsoft Project or other software that define the project scope, tasks, goals, deliverables and budgets.
  • Implement and manage project changes made in the project scope, schedules and costs to achieve project outputs.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of the project.
  • Create, coordinate and maintain comprehensive project documentation including quality assurance documents such as Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Material Test Reports (MTR) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
  • Monitor and report progress of projects to all stakeholders using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Create structure in project planning using appropriate management tools, communication plans & risk management techniques.
  • Managing and coordinating of project related relationships and communications with all required stakeholders.
  • Perform project evaluations and assessment of results including post-mortem reports for creating continual improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships within house sales, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and logistic teams to allow the Project Manager to physically obtain/verify status updates for stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel 10-15%, potentially internationally, as projects require.
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting systems and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze data and multi-task.
  • Ability to problem solve and create solutions within a Team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a Team.

Education and Experiences

  • Minimum of 7 years of project management and principles experience in a low volume, high mix and build to order heavy manufacturing environment utilizing financial budget development and planning.
  • 5+ years with Microsoft Office tools such as Project, Word & Excel.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing Oracle or SAP ERP systems.
  • Strong experience in Project Management Office (PMO) process.
  • Strong experience in project financial reporting including budgets and margins.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in design, build and commissioning of products and services.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, teambuilding and problem-solving skills required.
  • Knowledge of combustion burners, control valves, controls and fuel systems are preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree on project / organizational management, engineering or business.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% with potential additional travel.
