PROGRAM DETAILS
Fives Giddings & Lewis covers 100% of the cost for your 576-hour associate’s degree program at FVTC. The 7,744 hours of on-the-job training with our veteran workforce occurs at Fives Giddings & Lewis in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in our 500,000+ square foot facility. You will be trained by some of the world’s most knowledgeable experts in the machine tool industry. This training includes, but is not limited to:
- Shipping
- General machine
- Electrical assembly
- Accounting
- Engineering
- Purchasing
- Field Service
- Headstock assembly
- Test Engineering
- Inspection
- Sales
- Production Planning
- Manufacturing Engineering

Throughout your apprenticeship you are considered a full-time employee with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, 401K, holidays and vacation. Salary is based on hours worked and provides pay increases for every 1,040 hours worked. At the conclusion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a national, portable credential in your trade from the Department of Labor.
