We have a great opportunity for an experienced IT SUPPORT ASSOCIATE to join our team in our Farmington Hills MI location.
Summary: Provide general technical support for computers, software, and the network. This is an end-user facing role requiring expertise in providing support for hardware and software issues within a Microsoft Windows computing environment to include desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
MAIN DUTIES:
1. Maintain workstations to minimize down time due to technical problems.
2. Build, configure, upgrade, and deploy new systems as necessary.
3. Setup individual computers with network access and appropriate software as needed
4. Respond to users in need of assistance and keep track of computer problems.
5. Provide follow-up on existing service desk tickets.
6. Implement report changes and assist with support of ERP.
7. Assist with new technology implementation
Education and/or Experience
1. Associates degree, bachelors preferred
2. 2+ years related experience and/or training;
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Knowledge of Computer Hardware and Operating Systems mainly in a Microsoft environment with Active Directory and Office 365 / Microsoft 365
4. Some experience with SQL is preferred
5. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate politely, clearly and effectively with internal customers
6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to determine the root cause of the problem
7. Excellent computer skills with ability to support IT systems
