The Aftermarket Territory Sales Executive will:
· have ownership and management of a defined geographical sales territory to grow Aftermarket Products and Services revenue by maintaining and developing existing customer accounts (35%)
· take proactive measures to generate profitable new business (Aftermarket and sub-contract) within the territory (65%)
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Develop a deep understanding of territory potential, identify competitor strongholds and develop a five year plan for growth
· Design individual account strategies by understanding what is critical to the customer (e.g. price, lead time, technical compliance, cycle time, quality, flexibility or other aspects)
· Contribute to the Annual Bookings Forecast and agree Performance KPI’s based on territory knowledge and customer interaction
· Build existing customer relationships within assigned territory, developing key account plans and owning all aspects of account management and development
· Where clients are active in multiple territories or sectors liaise with colleagues to ensure that intelligence & opportunities are maximised & client growth plans are co-ordinated effectively
· Proactively identify and target new customers. Develop relationships to determine potential spend and develop strategies to secure new bookings and revenue streams
· Negotiate contracts through bidding to contract award and lead an effective order handover to Project Management and Operations teams
· Support management of any Agent within the assigned territory, ensuring ethical compliance to Group standards, as well as supporting the vetting and approval of new agents
· Monitor agent performance against agreed annual targets
· Understand own responsibilities in following Fives Golden Rules of Health & Safety and act as a positive role model for good health & safety practices
· Understand and work at all times in line with Fives Values and Directives and agreed departmental processes
Education and Experiences
Key requirements:
· Proven track record in new business Sales and Account Management
· Experience in a technical Aftermarket B2B environment is essential, working both directly with, as well as through, agents and partners
· Experience in winning and growing key accounts, particularly with ‘blue chip’ corporate customers in complex industries and organisations
· Automotive sector experience desirable
· High attention to detail with ability to be rigorous and analytical
· Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels within customer organisations
· Conscientious and self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative, as well as contributing strongly as part of the Aftermarket Team.
· Enthusiastic individual who is able to represent the Company positively at all times.
· Willing and able to travel regularly throughout Europe; dependent on home location will be office or home based
· Ability and willingness to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the role
· Accurate and up-to-date with maintaining data, records and systems: Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft 365 etc.
· Ability to speak an additional foreign language, would be desirable but not essential (French, Spanish, German or Italian).
