Senior Process Engineer
Fives ST Corp. is a member of the Fives Group of companies (www.fivesgroup.com) and an international player in Process Engineering, Consultation and Process System Supply. Our products include Galvanizing Lines, Surface Treatment Systems, Continuous Annealing Lines and Degreasing Plants. These plants are provided primarily to the metal processing industry worldwide.
We are seeking an experienced Silicon Steel Expert to join our team. This position will serve as the central technical authority on silicon steel, responsible for consulting, project oversight, and strategic customer engagement. You’ll leverage your expertise to support both clients and our internal teams, playing a key role in our mission to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions in the metallurgy field.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Technical Leadership
- Serve as the Fives Steel Division’s primary reference on silicon steel technology, focusing on development, phase transformation, mechanical properties, material and process characterization, and establishing product-process links.
Customer Support and Project Management
- Lead technical assistance projects for clients, overseeing task definition, resource planning, costing, and effective communication between stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
Sales and Project Team Support
- Collaborate closely with sales and project management teams by offering technical expertise in silicon steel production to enhance project quality and drive business success.
Customer Interface and Representation
- Act as the main technical contact on assigned projects, representing Fives Steel in client interactions. Responsible for technical decision-making, project completion, and achieving successful outcomes.
Training and Knowledge Sharing
- Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams across Fives subsidiaries. Maintain a technology watch to stay current with advancements in silicon steel and related areas.
General Requirements:
- Technical knowledge including formal training at an accredited training institute, college or university.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assigned work and make informed decisions.
- Disciplined, deadline-oriented, and able to manage priorities independently.
- Able to manage several projects and work in a fast-paced environment with tight schedules and deadlines is a must.
- Able to work collaboratively with employees of all levels within the organization.
- Available to travel domestically and internationally, if required.
- The ability to work effectively in a team-based environment is a necessity.
- Strong analytical, synthesizing, and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in additional languages is a plus.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in silicon steel engineering, ideally in roles such as R&D, quality control, or technical support.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of silicon steel metallurgy and production. Familiarity with carbon steel production processes, including liquid steel, continuous casting, and hot rolling. Product development and modeling skills. Broad understanding of the steel industry.
