Job Content
We are currently seeking a full time Mechanical Designer to join our team.
Your role will be to:
- Create/Modify 3D models, layouts, assemblies, detail drawings and bill of materials utilizing Autodesk Inventor, Navisworks and/or AutoCAD software.
- Read and understand Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s)
- Provide design solutions while being mindful of form, fit, function, manufacturability, and cost.
- Participate in regular project meetings with the project team and/or customer throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track the development of assigned design tasks through regular communication with Project Managers and your Supervisor.
- Work with Suppliers to ensure proper interface with Supplied Equipment.
At Fives ST Corp. and under the direction of the Design Manager, you will join the design team.
We are seeking someone who has a associates degree in mechanical engineering technology, with 2-5 years of experience as a mechanical designer.

Requirements
- Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer involving industrial chemical or mechanical processes including steel or plastic tanks for liquid and solids storage or fume/exhaust ductwork.
- Moderate to Extensive experience and proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Moderate to Extensive PC skills utilizing MS Office.
- Familiarity with metal pickling and/or degreasing equipment design,
- Familiarity with ASME and/or ISO standards and technical specifications.
