Job Description for a PLC Programmer Engineer – C&I

Fives Combustion System India. is actively seeking a PLC Programmer Engineer– C&I to join its teams in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Fives Combustion System (FCS), Baroda is part of Fives Pillard (Fives Group) engaged in Designing, Engineering, Manufacturing and commissioning of various types of Burner equipment and combustion Systems, involving almost all types of fuels. FCS equipment provide optimum performance meeting all the needs in the field of Co- generation and Combined Cycle Plants, Incineration, Pyro-processing, Utility and Industrial Boilers, refinery and Petrochemicals Industries, Fertiliser and Agrochemical Industries as well as other Process Industries. FCS have also established a manufacturing Facility at Padra - Jambusar Highway, Dabhasa, Baroda

We are currently seeking a PLC Programmer Engineer– C&I who has the same desire to prove that “industry can do it!”

Role & Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and commission automation systems including PLC, HMI, SCADA.
• Develop PLC logic and SCADA screen interfaces using Siemens platforms (TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, etc..).
• SIL Certified engineer for PLC logic and experience in PLC logic development as per SIL requirement.
• Conduct Software FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and Electrical Panel FAT.
• Integrate and configure third party communication with DCS as well other PLC on various Protocols.
• Provide onsite commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting support for automation systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional global and local teams to execute projects efficiently.
• Offer automation support and remote assistance to customers as required.
• Work independently on software logic development, system design, and control strategies.
• Review and checking of electrical PLC panel drawings and P&ID diagrams for system integration.
• Implement and support industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, and Industrial Ethernet,Etc.
• Perform system validation, simulation, and site acceptance testing (SAT).
• Logic Diagram preparation as per BMS write up.
• Configure and troubleshoot VFDs and related control equipment is additional advantage.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• 2 to 5 years of experience.

• Working on Siemens PLC platform will be highly preferred. 

• Good communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a structured environment.

Qualifications:
• B.E./ B.Tech – Electrical/ Electrical and Instrumentation – with a recognized institute/university.
