CUSTOMER SERVICE FIELD ENGINEER 

JOB DESCRIPTION

He/she reports to the Field Service Manager and deals with:

•    performing scheduled maintenance (MP/PMI) at customers, in compliance with the agreed time schedule and ensuring the execution of the activities at the quality level required by the Fives group;
•    supporting the creation and installation of retrofits at customers in Germany and abroad, in cooperation with the Project Manager (PM/CSM) for the related operational activities;
•    supporting and carrying out the theoretical and practical training of the technical personnel of the Service department
•    participating actively in the startup of new external centers;
•    providing technical support to the customer, either remotely or on site.

EXPERIENCE

This role requires experience in electromechanical maintenance associated with industrial automation, autonomy in the management of activities at the customer's premises, knowledge of technologies associated with the machines.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of MP/PMI and retrofit activities, he/she is responsible for the communication, reporting and organization of activities at the customer's premises, in synergy with the other involved company functions.
In the activities carried out in support of External Centers, they guarantee competence and experience and the effective performance of the activity, also being able to lead a team and interacting effectively with the customer when necessary, also on behalf of the Site Manager.

MAIN TASKS

Coordinating with their work team and following their Manager’s instructions (FSM), they will have to:
•    Ensure that the necessary interventions are carried out in compliance with all the Safety regulations;
•    Carry out management activities, corrective and ordinary maintenance at the customer's premises;
•    Ensure availability for the call-out and remote assistance service by collaborating with the Customer Support Center group;
•    Draw up the expected reports required by the nature and typology of the activities, in compliance with the internal procedures;
•    Ensure the preparation/delivery of specific training at the customer's site when required;
•    Ensure the preparation/delivery of theoretical and practical training for their colleagues;
•    Cooperate with any other company department requiring advice and support.
