Fives Landis Corp (Gardner Abrasives) is actively seeking a Full-Time Diamond Cell Machinist position to join its teams in South Beloit, IL.

We are currently seeking a Diamond Cell Machinist, who has the desire to prove that industry can do it!

Job Content

At Fives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. Your role will be to:

  • Per routing specifications and prints, prepare diamond product for grinding.
  • Grind diamond wheel to print specifications.
  • Measure wheels using various measuring devices.
  • Balance wheel and cut radial lines when required.
  • Maintain equipment, machines, fixtures, tooling in good working condition.
  • Complete paperwork in accurate and timely manner.

We are seeking a candidate who possesses:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating tools and equipment.
  • Ability to handle up to 50 pounds required.
  • Communicate within and between departments at various levels.
