We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, who has the same desire to prove that industry can do it! This role serves as a technical resource for researching, developing and designing custom-engineered solutions for advanced equipment in a variety of highly technical industries.
At Fives, we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. This role:
- Maintains expert subject matter knowledge through additional training and experience in any of the following areas of Engineering, Methods and Technology: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical Controls, Finite Element Analysis, Materials and Welding.
- Utilizes engineering and physics principals to generate industrial machine designs
- Uses 3D CAD systems to generate mechanical designs, create assemblies and produce mechanical drawings
- Performs and interprets Finite Element Analysis using programs such as SolidWorks
- Uses PLM and PDM systems to manage data and configuration
- Provides and interprets pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
- Troubleshoots and debugs industrial mechanical systems
- Mentors Level I and Level II engineers as needed

We are seeking someone who has a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, 5 years’ experience in engineering (PE Certification a plus), and experience in machine design, hydraulics, pneumatics and CATIA/SolidWorks.

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $101,424 - $129,598 annually, depending upon qualifications.
Due to the nature of our contracts, only US Persons are eligible for this position.
