Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, ISO 9001/14001/45001 Lead Auditor).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, quality management or demonstrated equivalent skills and experience preferable in a manufacturing / project environment
  • Leadership or managerial qualifications are a plus
  • Advanced training in risk management, safety audits, environmental laws, or quality assurance preferred

Relevant Experience

  • Previous Experience implementing an integrated HSEQ Management System in compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001 & OSHA18001 – not negotiable
  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing industry/mining Health and Safety, HR or related roles.
  • Professional attitude to meeting business objectives.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills.
  • Taproot/Root cause Investigation
  • Ability to work under pressure, with reliability and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to lead incident investigations
  • Ability to prepare and deliver detailed training presentations.
  • Negotiation and facilitation skills
