Fives Services Gulf is the Fives service Centre for the Middle East, with a team of 150 people based in Bahrain, Dubai and Saudi Arabia, Fives Services Gulf provides local customer service, project execution support and local parts sourcing, in addition to carrying out refit and modernization projects, audits and technical assistance on customer sites. A team is also dedicated to the maintenance of equipment in operation at our customers' plants.

We are currently seeking a Workshop & Supply Chain Senior Manager to lead and integrate all supply chain and workshop functions across Fives Services Gulf. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role provides strategic direction, cross-functional leadership, and performance oversight for procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and workshop operations. The role ensures these functions are aligned with our safety standard, business objectives, cost-effective, compliant, and capable of supporting current and future growth.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Health and Safety related (HSE)
- Champion a strong safety culture across all workshop operations, ensuring HSE principles are fully integrated into daily activities
- Coach and support workshop leadership in conducting daily toolbox talks, job risk assessments, and weekly safety meetings, reinforcing proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation
- Lead monthly safety performance reviews, analyzing trends, identifying areas for improvement, and driving continuous enhancement of HSE practices
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company safety standards, fostering strict adherence to workplace safety protocols
- Monitor and improve workshop ergonomics, identifying potential hazards related to equipment handling, workspace layout, and employee well-being
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, proactively identifying non-compliance issues and ensuring corrective actions are taken
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence
- Operational Workshop Related
- Develop and implement cost reduction plans while driving efficient and effective workshop practices
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of daily operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards
- Review and resolve performance, process, quality, and technical issues in the workshop, implementing preventative actions and remedial solutions
- Identify areas for automation and digitization to improve daily working practices and drive continuous improvement
- Participate in subcontractor/consultant selection and monitor performance against established guidelines
- Define, develop, and implement the operating framework, policies, and procedures for the department, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices
- Manage and monitor financial performance, including P&L, CAPEX, and OPEX budgeting
- Support talent selection and recruitment within the department, ensuring adherence to company policies
- Set and agree on individual goals for direct reports, providing coaching and performance evaluations
- Supply Chain
- Oversee purchasing and logistics for Fives Services Gulf, ensuring spare parts procurement and delivery align with operational and strategic requirements
- Manage stock requirements, inventory, replenishment, and availability of resources to support operational needs
- Participate in the development of quotations, bids, and technical evaluations to support tendering and bidding processes
- Develop strategies to ensure the department meets operational requirements to support company objectives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Engineering field
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience
COMPETENCIES & PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Strong HSE awareness
- ISO Certification is preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is preferred
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification is preferred
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent regional/international travel will be required
