Fives Services Gulf is actively seeking a Maintenance Contracts Manager to join its teams in Bahrain.

With a team of 150 people based in Bahrain, Dubai and Saudi Arabia, Fives Services Gulf provides local customer service, project execution support and local parts sourcing, in addition to carrying out refit and modernization projects, audits and technical assistance on customer sites. A team is also dedicated to the maintenance of equipment in operation at our customers' plants.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Contracts Manager, to lead the Maintenance Department and oversee the execution of maintenance activities whilst creating/developing Fives’ presence in the region, and ensuring execution is in line with operational objectives whilst ensuring compliance to Company policies and industry and regulatory standards.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for defining, developing and implementing the operating framework and policies and procedures for the Maintenance Department and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, Fives standards and international best practices
  • Responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling and execution of daily operations of the department to ensure that work/tasks are performed accurately and efficiently in conformance with established methods, instructions and quality standards, and results are reported in a timely manner as per Company policies and procedures and/or customer requirements
  • Develop and create the required strategies to ensure the department is able to meet the operational requirements of Fives Services Gulf to support achievement of operational and strategic objectives
  • Responsible for managing, reviewing and monitoring the financial performance of the department including but not limited to managing the P&L and developing CAPEX and OPEX budgets
  • Responsible for developing and implementing plans for cost reduction and driving efficient and effective practices and procedures to continuously improve and enhance the maintenance departments capabilities and operations
  • Responsible for overseeing stock requirements for the department including but not limited to planning and scheduling stock replenishment and managing inventory whilst ensuring the suitability and availability of equipment, consumables, stock levels, raw materials, resources etc to deliver operational requirements
  • Responsible for overseeing the preparation of all maintenance reporting requirements including the review and analysis of data, information, down time, MTBF, trends analysis, quality metrics, delivery estimates etc as per internal / external (i.e. customer) reporting requirements and timelines
  • Responsible for overseeing the planning of preventative and scheduled maintenance of all equipment, materials and facilities to ensure the department is operating at optimal capacity
  • Contribute to the preparation and response to RFQ’s, review and submit technical requirements and specifications, participate in subcontractor / consultant selection against agreed criteria, and support the bidding process as per business requirements
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the Cost Workbook and ensuring all requirements are recorded and reconciled accurately to create/develop Fives’ maintenance presence across the region to generate sales to support achievement of the business strategy
  • Review change requirements/requests and approve change orders for any variations and/or adhoc expenditure where required
  • Ensure respective manuals and documents are regularly updated and accordingly communicated internally / externally to ensure the end user has the necessary technical knowledge and awareness to execute maintenance works
  • Review and resolve performance, process, quality and technical related issues and implement preventative actions as and when required, and address concerns and non-conformance issues and provide remedial solutions
  • Identify areas for automation and digitization to drive efficiencies in day to day working practices and lead the implementation of automation/digitization strategies and solutions to drive continuous improvement to enhance the Maintenance department’s capabilities and service offering
  • Participate in the candidate selection process and ensure all recruitment activities within area of responsibility are completed as per Fives Services Gulf recruitment policies and procedures
  • Set and agree individual goals for all direct reports and evaluate individual performance providing regular feedback and coaching in line with Fives people management practices
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and procedures as appropriate

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field
  • MBA would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Aluminum Smelters is preferable

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
