POSITION SUMMARY
Fives Intralogistics Corp. is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead Services projects from sales handover through project closeout, with a focus on large retrofit and modernization projects, including multi-site customer projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Portfolio Manager, this role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders and acts as a liaison between Sales, Engineering, Controls, Procurement, Field Service, Site Management, and project execution teams.
This position is responsible for initiating, planning, coordinating, scheduling, executing, controlling, and closing Retrofit and Services projects of moderate to large scope, including complex, multi-site retrofit projects. The Project Manager is accountable for project financial performance, cost management, contract administration, customer communication, deliverables, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, at or below budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
This role supports consistent customer experience and project performance across assigned Services initiatives by applying Fives Intralogistics project management processes, product knowledge, system understanding, and cross-functional coordination. The Project Manager contributes to successful execution of large-scale retrofit and modernization projects by maintaining schedule discipline, financial visibility, risk management, and clear communication across multiple concurrent customer sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead assigned Services projects from initiation through closeout, owning schedule, budget, risk, documentation, customer communication, and execution outcomes for retrofit, modernization, and multi-site customer projects while managing day-to-day coordination between cross-functional teams, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Responsible for the following:
GENERAL DUTIES
- Integrated Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans for assigned projects, including multi-site retrofit projects; establish and maintain schedule baselines at project handover to define the approved execution plan.
- Project Execution: Lead projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closeout; adjust plans as needed to maintain schedule performance, manage risk, and support successful delivery across single-site and multi-site project scopes.
- Resource Coordination: Coordinate internal and external resources required for project execution, including Engineering, Controls, Procurement, Field Service, Site Management, vendors, and subcontractors; work with resource leaders to secure appropriate staffing and balance competing priorities across multiple concurrent sites or projects.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders throughout project execution; build and maintain strong customer relationships, manage expectations, and facilitate resolution of concerns and project issues across assigned project sites.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and records within company systems; provide regular status updates and executive-level project health reports to customers and leadership.
- Financial Management: Manage project budgets, forecasts, and profitability; track and report financial performance including revenue, cost, margin, change orders, and financial risks; initiate corrective actions as needed for complex retrofit and multi-site customer projects.
- Team Presence: Facilitate project kickoff meetings and ongoing project review meetings and visit project sites as required to support field execution and customer relationships.
- Risk, Scope & Closeout: Identify project risks and mitigation plans; manage scope changes and change order processes; ensure contractual deliverables are completed; facilitate financial closeout; and support transition to warranty or ongoing service support activities for assigned retrofit and multi-site customer project work.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration/Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred but not required. Equivalent project management, technical, or industry experience will be considered. PMP certification preferred.
- 4-7 years of project management experience managing customer-facing projects with responsibility for budgets, schedules, financial performance, documentation, and cross-functional team coordination.
- Experience managing large retrofit projects, multi-site customer projects, material handling systems, automation, controls, industrial equipment, or system integration projects preferred.
- Proven experience in budgeting, planning, financial management, supplier/vendor coordination, change management, risk management, and execution of moderate to large projects.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies including PMI/PMBOK, CPM, Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, Waterfall, or Lean, with the ability to apply the appropriate methodology based on project needs.
TRAVEL
This position requires moderate business travel by airplane, personal/rental car, and public transportation both domestically and internationally. The ability to secure a rental car and pay for all reimbursable travel expenses is essential. The candidate must be willing to travel as required and be capable of completing international travel of 10 or more hours. Overnight travel is approximately 25% and may increase during periods of active project execution, customer site support, and multi-site retrofit implementations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is primarily office-based but requires regular interaction with customer sites, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, and active project locations. The Project Manager routinely collaborates with customers, subcontractors, field personnel, and internal stakeholders in both virtual and in-person settings.
Site visits may require exposure to moving mechanical equipment, elevated noise levels, varying weather conditions, and non-climate-controlled environments. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, high-visibility clothing, and safety footwear, may be required when visiting operational facilities or project sites.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
