POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for the organization, execution and monitoring of overall efforts for material handling projects.  Position will monitor schedules, ensure compliance to project specifications, budgets, manning and the general progress of activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for the scope, schedule and budget of a project.
  2. Responsible for overall communication with stakeholders for successful and efficient execution.
  3. Reviews project proposal to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  4. Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  5. Prepares and manages master project schedule and communicates updates to internal and external customers.
  6. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  7. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  8. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. 
  9. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  10. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  11. Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Education and/or Experience
  • Leadership
  • 4 years project-related experience and/or Bachelor’s degree is desired but not required. 
  • Proficient in MS Project and MS Office Suite
  • Experience with MRP systems (e.g SAP) is desired but not required. 

 

  1. Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.   
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

  1. Reasoning Skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
