Material Handler
DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain

REPORTS TO: Logistics Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility for Material Movement and Order Picking is to pick materials and parts for internal assembly operations and customer orders. This role provides a crucial link between Receiving, Inventory, Assembly, Parts Fulfillment, and Shipping. Attention to Detail and Sense of Urgency are critical soft skills necessary for success in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficiently pick materials and parts for internal assembly operations and customer orders using material pick lists
- Verify order fulfillment accuracy by comparing pick list documents to materials in a box or on a skid
- Package parts to meet customer requirements, including placing parts in boxes, applying labels, using packing materials
- Operate forklift or other material handling equipment in and around warehouse
- Perform work in accordance with Company safety rules and guidelines
- Follow department processes, procedures, and work instructions
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Previous work experience as an order picker or material handler
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment, i.e. forklift, hand truck
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/prints, and procedure manuals.
- Critical Soft Skills: Detail-Oriented, Sense of Urgency, Effectiveness in Pressure Situations
