POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all procedures regarding proper inventory control for FIL Corp warehouses and storage locations.  This is in an effort to achieve efficient and accurate material common stock and project stock inventories, timely material movements between storage locations and projects, and reduce operational costs attributed to inventory loss. This position is responsible for conducting accurate counting of inventory, root cause analysis to resolve shortages or overages, goods movements affecting inventory, and reconciling discrepancies.  This role is also responsible for inventory stocking plans and the management of slow moving and obsolete inventory for the business unit.The Inventory Manager will be part of the Supply Chain Team for Fives Intralogistics Corp. and will report to the Director of Supply Chain Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintain high inventory accuracy for all warehouses and storage locations using analytical and reconciliation techniques including audits, cycle counting, and annual physical inventory (if necessary).
  2. Oversee all material related adjustments performed in SAP and provide supporting documentation for financial review as required.
  3. Utilize root cause analysis to understand inventory discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  4. Implement process improvements to reduce inventory shrinkage and optimize floor space.
  5. Configure storage locations within the warehouse to optimize productivity, efficiency, and floor space.
  6. Analyze inventory positions, set safety stock levels and reorder quantities to prevent stock out conditions of high-volume materials.
  7. Effectively manage surplus, slow-moving, and obsolete inventories, while providing support for the phase-in phase-out process of raw materials and finished goods.
  8. Work with managers, supervisors, and warehouse personnel to improve inventory positions.
  9. Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.
  10. Reinforce Fives Intralogistics Corp. Core Values and drive process improvement activities.
  11. Other duties that may be assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. May directly supervise 5-10 employees.
  2. Must be able to work all shifts and weekends, if necessary. 
  3. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. 
  4. Responsible for hiring, supervising, leading, and coaching the Inventory Team.
  5. Responsibilities also include training, planning, assigning, and directing of work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five (5) plus years’ experience in a production environment or related experience in warehouse/inventory/planning role.
  • Five (5) plus years’ experience with major MRP and WMS software such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or Information Systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees or organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/prints, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
