POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assembler is responsible for reading prints/drawings and using various manufacturing equipment and hand tools to build automated sorting system assemblies according to print specifications. This position focuses on the mechanical and electromechanical assembly of GENI‑Belt™ cross‑belt sortation equipment and related sub‑assemblies.
The Assembler will interact with and support other shop associates in the performance of these duties. The Assembler will report to the Assembly Supervisor and will perform all duties as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and follow prints/drawings, work instructions, and procedures to assemble automated sorting equipment.
- Determine proper assembly sequence for modular sorter components and sub‑assemblies.
- Retrieve, assemble, and attach component parts and sub‑assemblies to products based on engineering specifications.
- Perform various hand assemblies, fitting, aligning, and adjusting operations of a repetitive nature.
- Assemble GENI‑Belt™ sorter components including frames, carrier units, cross‑belt conveyors, drive systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Rework non‑conforming parts and products as directed.
- Adjust equipment according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions to meet functional and quality requirements.
- Assemble drive line technologies and electrical wiring circuits according to specifications, drawings, and instructions.
- Test equipment according to work cards and instructions using appropriate test equipment.
- Complete quality checklists and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Perform work in accordance with Company safety rules and guidelines.
- Lift, load, sort, and move materials, supplies, and finished products between storage and work areas in a safe manner.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and assembly efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Mechanically inclined, with experience using hand, air, and power tools (drills, impact wrenches, torque tools, clamps, rivet guns, etc.).
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, drawings/prints, specifications, and procedure manuals.
- Critical soft skills, including strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and effectiveness in pressure situations.
- Previous work experience as an Assembler or Mechanical Technician is preferred.
- Experience with conveyors, automated machinery, or material handling systems is a plus.
- Overhead crane and rigging knowledge/experience is a plus.
