Job Description: 

• Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out for electrical and instrumentation equipment and machinery in a timely manner in compliance with Company policies and procedures, customer specifications and industry standards
• Perform the configuration, calibration, maintenance and programming of electrical and instrumentation equipment / machinery as per established SOP’s
• Schedule and conduct electrical and instrumentation maintenance works on smelter equipment and any related equipment as per contractual/customer requirements and specifications whilst adhering to quality and industry standards
• Conduct fault diagnosis investigations, carry out corrective maintenance and repairs for electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure machines/ equipment are in good working condition
• To provide on-site support to customers as and when required to ensure all equipment and machinery conform to the relevant standards and regulatory requirements
• Ensure the technical integrity and performance of electrical and instrumentation equipment and machinery at all times
• Use knowledge of equipment/machinery and electrical processes to troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment and process errors and recommend solutions by applying a wide variety of existing techniques, processes, and procedures to fulfil customer requirements
• Monitor electrical and instrumentation equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance and reduction of planned and unplanned maintenance
• Gather, record, analyze, and summarize data and information in various formats and prepare reports of works/tasks performed as per Company and/or customer reporting requirements

• Responsible for ensuring that maintenance/works records are kept fully up to date with all additions/modifications recorded and support preparation of reports as per Company and customer requirements
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of electrical and instrumentation best practice maintenance processes and procedures to support enhancement of operational performance
• Assist in reviewing designs, drawings and other technical documents related to electrical and instrumentation equipment/machinery to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
• Review relevant procedures and standards in engineering designs to ensure efficient implementation of electrical and instrumentation equipment/machinery on site
• Work closely with sub-contractors / consultants / Customer to ensure all design specifications are being met for electrical engineering elements and issue performance reports where needed
• Provide support during the inspection of electrical equipment as well as setting up testing equipment and analyzing the results to ensure all equipment is in good working order to meet operational needs
• Understand safety requirements, maintain awareness and comply with all health and safety rules applying to all electrical and instrumentation work to ensure that safe working practices are observed as per Company and customer safety standards
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to gain a competitive edge in the market and support achievement of Fives Services Gulf sales strategy within the region
• Monitor stock requirements ensuring the suitability and availability of equipment, consumables, stock levels, raw materials etc and ensure stock replenishment is coordinated and delivered in a timely manner to support delivery/completion of maintenance works
• Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and procedures as appropriate

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

• Diploma or vocational certification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a relevant field
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance of overhead cranes, particularly Pot Tending Machine (PTM)
