Location: Customer Sites in both Lafayette, IN and Mapleton, IL (Travel Required)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the assembly, commissioning, and start-up of a high value large capacity integrated machine tool cell including metal cutting application. The role is responsible for driving the results and performance of the project and the teams involved in the execution. This role covers site management, customer and stakeholder relationship coordination, local procurement, and resource planning and follow-up. The Project Manager will also serve as the key liaison with the head office for technical issues, change orders, engineering modifications, schedule alignment, procurement coordination, and shipment tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution & Site Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of cell: assembly, commissioning, start-up and final process acceptance.
- Manage daily site operations, ensuring safety, quality, budget and schedule adherence.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and field service teams to ensure timely delivery and execution.
- Customer Relationship
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer on-site.
- Maintain strong communication with the customer and internal stakeholders.
- Deliver high support with strong customer experience mindset.
- Address concerns with a high sense of urgency and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the project.
- Contract Management
- Oversee all aspects of contract management on site, ensuring compliance with contractual terms with the customer and suppliers (internal and external).
- Monitor contractual obligations, manage amendments or change orders, and coordinate contract documentation with the head office.
- Maintain an updated log of all activities and aspects of the project that might have contractual implications.
- Identify and anticipate contractual risks, propose solutions in case of disputes or non-compliance, and ensure traceability of all contractual communications.
- Make sure customers’ expectations are always aligned with internal commitments
- Work closely with legal and procurement teams for any contract-related or compliance matters.
- Head Office Coordination
Interface regularly with the head office to:

- Communicate and validate engineering issues or requested modifications.
- Align project schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate with head office procurement activities and ensure timely shipments.
- Dynamic follow-up with head office departments such as purchasing and engineering for project related deliveries
- Escalate and resolve technical or logistical issues.
- Procurement & Resource Coordination
- Manage local procurement activities, including sourcing and vendor coordination.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and services required for site operations.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manpower schedule including internal, external and customer resources.
- Project Monitoring and Reporting
- Track progress against project milestones and budgets.
- Prepare and present regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively.
Qualifications:
- Strong sense of ownership and setting that example for the team
- Capacity to coordinate a project with multiple international stakeholders in
- Proven 5 years’ experience in industrial project management, preferably in metal cutting or manufacturing environments.
- Strong appetite and experience for high precision mechanics and advanced machine tools technology.
- Strong knowledge of assembly, commissioning and start-up processes for manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Solutions orientated, proactive in troubleshooting processes
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex logistics.
- Strong commitment and know-how to deliver exceptional customer experience
Preferred Certifications:
- Active PMP Certification is a bonus but not required
- Lean, Six Sigma, or related operational improvement credentials.
- Technical certifications in machine tool operation or industrial maintenance a plus.
Work Environment
- Office and Factory environment.
- 100% on-site at various locations, minimum 5 days a week, with the occassional Saturday
Travel: High volumne travel from home to Indiana, USA site locations.
- 4+ hours travel one way to site location, remaining at location through the week, then return.
- Travel domestically to other business sites as needed after Indiana sites are established.
