Accountability:

This position is responsible for the supervision of the Storeroom and Warehouse operations within After Market Parts Service to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing material and finished products, and to assemble units and finished products for aftermarket sales and OEM machines.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Supervises the receipt, storage, delivery and shipment of parts, material, products and supplies
  • Supervises the inspection of incoming items against orders for accuracy, completeness, and defects.
  • Supervises the return and replacement of defective items.
  • Supervises periodic and special inventories; accounts for inventory variances.
  • Develops and implements improvements in policies and procedures to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.
  • Defines measurement standards for both the warehouse and assembly operations.
  • Reviews workload on a daily basis to address the elimination of backlog, or the prevention of a missed or delayed shipment.
  • Maintains the consignment order file providing quotes and invoicing as needed.
  • Supervises cross-training assignments for both areas.
  • Reviews monthly individual and department results and provides feedback.
  • Assists in setting annual goals and direction for individuals and department.
  • Supervises the assembly of units and products for the aftermarket sales.
  • Supervises the purchase and maintenance of equipment used in the warehouse and the assembly areas.
  • Provides regular reports on measurements of departmental performance.
  • On call rotational phone support as needed to support parts and service shipments for weekends and holidays
  • Manages 3rd party vendors to perform services within our facility, such as paint booth.

Education/Certification:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school

Experience:

  • 3 5 years’ experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • General knowledge of modern warehouse and inventory practices. 
  • SAP knowledge highly recommended including SAP Inventory management and Warehouse Business management.
  • Thorough knowledge of all types of materials and parts required for aftermarket parts service operations, general knowledge of the applicable standard grades and qualities of equipment, materials, and supplies.
  •  Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records; ability to plan and supervise the work of others; ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with associates; ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
