Records Digitalization Clerk - Temporary
Position Summary
The Temporary Digitalization Clerk will support the Aftermarket Americas team by scanning, indexing, and organizing physical documents into electronic filing systems. This role is responsible for converting paper files, microfiche, and aperture card records into digital formats while maintaining accuracy, organization, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on repetitive tasks.
Essential Responsibilities
- Scan, digitize, and organize physical files and records onto designated computer drives.
- Work with microfiche and aperture card systems to retrieve and convert historical records.
- Index and name electronic files according to established filing standards.
- Verify scanned documents for legibility, completeness, and accuracy.
- Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems.
- Handle confidential information in a secure and professional manner.
- Assist with document retrieval and record management as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties related to document management and archiving.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills, including file management and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with scanning systems, document management, microfiche, or aperture card systems is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and move files throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry file boxes weighing up to 25 pounds on occasion.
Schedule
- Temporary position.
- Part-time, less than 32 hours per week.
