Accountability:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes that ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role partners closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and ensure equipment and processes meet operational requirements.

 

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
  • Provide day‑to‑day technical support to production operations, troubleshooting process or equipment issues to optimize productivity.
  • Work alongside quality team to support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and process standardization.
  • Create and update process documentation, work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating procedures for assembly processes.
  • Participate in cross‑functional design reviews on new and existing projects.
  • Support assembly & engineering teams on new machine and retrofit build processes, ensuring manufacturability and smooth integration into production workflows for current and future state.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvement strategies and goal setting for KPI and standardization of production metrics.
  • Help review and maintain our production orders progress and reporting status.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and participate in capital project planning and justification to assist proposal team in standardizing budget & time metrics.
  • Ownership of facility layout in manufacturing areas in CAD, work alongside executive team to maintain layout and functionality whilst optimizing workflow and efficiency.
  • Assist with part identification, sourcing and alternative commercial part verification.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.

Experience:

  •   2+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or a related environment preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with CAD software, industrial automation, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, production‑focused environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
