Job Title: Electrical Engineering Co-op (OEM)
Position Summary
The Electrical Engineering Co-op will support the design, development, and documentation of industrial machinery within an OEM environment. This role provides hands-on experience assisting engineers in product development, CAD modeling, and machine assembly support while contributing to continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts.
Key Responsibilities
To perform this role successfully, the individual must be able to carry out the following duties effectively:
- Assist in the design, modeling, and documentation of electrical components and assemblies
- Support engineering activities during machine builds, assembly, and testing
- Participate in design reviews and contribute feedback to improve product quality and performance
- Collaborate with lead engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical and customer-related issues
- Aid in the development of new systems and assemblies
- Help create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings and specifications
- Promote and adhere to a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
Qualifications & Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited 4-year university
- Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in a manufacturing or OEM environment is a plus
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with CAD software; experience with EPlan, AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Exposure to engineering design reviews, hazard analyses, and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) is beneficial

This FMSI co-op position is for the Fives Cincinnati facility. The facility is located at 2200 Litton Lane, Hebron KY, within 5 minutes of the Greater Cincinnati Airport, CVG.
