This divisional site is one of many companies within our business unit. Our High Precision Machines business unit designs and builds advanced machine tools and manufacturing systems enabling customers to produce complex components with unmatched precision and efficiency.

 


Position Summary

The Marketing Specialist supports the execution of marketing, communications, and content initiatives across the Machine Tools Division in the United States. Reporting to the Global Director of Marketing & Communications, this role works closely with business unit leaders, sales teams, customers, and divisional marketing team members to develop and execute marketing programs that drive business growth, customer engagement, and lead generation.

This hands-on position is responsible for creating and coordinating marketing content and deliverables, including customer success stories, website content, social media, email communications, sales enablement materials, and promotional campaigns across multiple business units, products, services, and technologies. The role ensures divisional priorities are translated into timely, customer-focused marketing initiatives that strengthen brand visibility, support customer acquisition and retention, and promote the division's capabilities across key industries and target markets.

The Marketing Specialist is also responsible for maintaining marketing assets and digital content, coordinating customer testimonials and case studies, supporting trade shows and customer events, and ensuring marketing projects are delivered on time and to a high standard of quality.

 


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Content & Communications Coordination

  • Develop and coordinate internal and external communications, including customer success stories, news articles, product highlights, and timely new order announcements that support business visibility and recognition of commercial successes.
  • Write, edit, and manage content that supports marketing campaigns, customer engagement, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Coordinate the collection of customer testimonials, case studies, photography, and video content.
  • Coordinate the development of customer testimonials, success stories, and case studies in collaboration with sales, engineering, service, and business unit leaders.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer activities, competitive developments, and market opportunities to identify relevant content, story ideas, and communication opportunities.

Digital Performance & Website Optimization

  • Create, publish, and maintain website pages and content to ensure information remains current, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop web content supporting product launches, service offerings, customer success stories, events, recruitment efforts, and lead generation initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary content owner for divisional websites, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with the Fives brand and messaging standards.
  • Coordinate with business unit leaders and subject matter experts to gather content, identify opportunities, and maintain a continuous pipeline of website enhancements and new content.

Events & Tradeshows

  • Work closely with the Demand Generation Marketing Manager to align marketing campaigns with trade shows, exhibitions, customer events, and divisional initiatives.
  • Assist with pre-event, onsite, and post-event marketing activities, including content creation, social media coverage, email campaigns, photography, video capture, and lead follow-up initiatives.
  • Serve as a marketing representative at trade shows and customer events as needed, capturing content, coordinating communications activities, and supporting customer and media engagement.
  • Develop event-related marketing materials, presentations, promotional campaigns, and post-event communications.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Technical Writing, Sales or a related field. 
  • Proven experience with Social Media, Microsoft PowerPoint, video and pictures capturing.
  • Familiar Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Canva, or other design platforms and Typo3, WordPress or similar.
  • 3-5 years within B2B or industrial sectors.
  • Ability to translate technical manufacturing concepts into clear, engaging, customer-focused content.
  • Familiarity with trade show, event, and experiential marketing.
  • Ability to proactively engage with employees, customers, and stakeholders to uncover stories, successes, and content opportunities.
