Provide support on Turn Key Projects that involve part run offs internal to the Fives Giddings and Lewis facility.
Exercising good, independent judgment to achieve optimal results. Use advanced machining process knowledge to solve problems and produce quality products/parts.

Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ability to operate Fives Giddings and Lewis Horizontal Machining Center
  • Performs detailed analysis to process products/parts using information provided by CMM
  • Execute turnkey/runoff applications including programming, tooling selection and fixture recommendations.
  • Work with customers to resolve manufacturing problems.
  • Optimize processes.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.
  • Off shift work may be required
  • ISO 9001 &14001 awareness and compliance

Education/Certification:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and/or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Journey person Machinist preferred.

  • Ability to program Fanuc controls on milling machines.
  • Possess greater than 4 years of machining experience.
  • Possess experience of processing parts on milling machines.
  • Possess creative problem solving skills.
  • Possess interpersonal skills to work with all levels and customers.
  • Possess a strong, self-directed, independent work ethic.
