Job Summary / Objective

Responsible for conception, describing, and pricing solutions to customer requirements.

 

Main Tasks / Responsibilities
  1. Receive request for quote from Proposal and Estimating Manager and review with Account Manager.
  2. Evaluate customer requirements, review specifications, and the concept type of equipment required for the requested application.
  3. Produce proposal documents describing equipment services and terms being offered.
  4. Generate proposal drawings as required.
  5. Contact vendors for quotations on specialized equipment or services for the project.
  6. Interface with Controls Engineers regarding controls requirements and costs for the project.
  7. Produce cost estimates (define engineering, manufacturing hours, and material costs).
  8. Review written proposals, drawings, and pricing with Proposal/Estimating Manager and revise as needed.

 

Education, Training and Experience
  1. Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.E.E.) from four-year College or university.
  2. 5 years related experience and/or training.
  3. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  4. Excellent computer skills (i.e., Lotus Notes, MS Office, ACAD, Windows).

 

Position Type, Expected Work Hours and Travel

Full time, occasional overtime may be required. Occasional travel may be necessary.
