Fives Services Gulf is the Fives service Centre for the Middle East, with a team of 160 people based in Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia, Fives Services Gulf provides local customer service, project execution support and local parts sourcing, in addition to carrying out refit and modernization projects, audits and technical assistance on customer sites. A team is also dedicated to the maintenance of equipment in operation at our customers' plants.

Position Summary
To spearhead the business development and growth of Solios after-sales (spare parts and services) across the GCC, enhancing Fives’ footprint and service relevance in the region. The role is centered on expanding the service portfolio for the installed base, proactively identifying revenue opportunities, shaping high-value service offers, and executing strategic sales initiatives. It also focuses on deepening customer partnerships, driving service order intake, and building a sustainable, recurring revenue stream aligned with Fives’ regional commercial and operational objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Customer & Business Development
- Responsible for building and maintaining good working relationships with clients/customers in the region to strengthen Fives’ sales base, including scheduling and attending regular client meetings to ensure customer requirements are successfully delivered.
- Identify and develop new and existing after-sales business opportunities across the Fives Solios installed base.
- Responsible for ensuring the necessary pre & after-sales support is delivered to all customers as per established Company processes to enhance customer service delivery and generate new and/or recurring sales.
- Contribute to spare parts sales through the identification of customer requirements and providing product specific information regarding the availability of Fives products and services to enhance Fives’ presence in the region
- Analyze client account history, conduct customer research, and evaluate competitor/market data to identify trends and support business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular meetings, ensuring customer requirements are understood and delivered.
- Work closely with sales manager/head of spare parts and internal departments.
- Develop and implement targeted marketing and sales strategies, including budgeted sales plans, to expand after-sales (spare parts and services) market share.
- Actively market and promote Fives equipment to customers to drive interest and sales.
- Follow up with customers on high-value spare-parts offers to support closing the deal.
- Collate, review, and analyse customer and industry data to identify and evaluate new business development and sales opportunities.
- Enhance the spare-parts business by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
- Support the spare-parts team in addressing non-conformance issues in line with operational requirements.
- Review and analyse sales orders and sales volumes against forecasts and contribute to action plans to address gaps or shortfalls in sales and revenue.
2. Proposal & Sales Support
- Act as the main focal point of contact for assigned customers for all sales/after sales related matters including but not limited to responding to customer enquiries, addressing and processing customer requests, responding to quotations, responding to RFQ/RFP’s & etc
- Prepare, review, and deliver services proposals with technical accuracy and commercial competitiveness.
- Support sales closure by providing technical validation.
- Lead and participate in after-sales contract negotiations, covering both commercial and technical aspects.
- Ensure timely and clear responses to customer inquiries and maintain proactive communication with clients.
- Automate and streamline proposal processes to increase efficiency and improve response times.
3. Technical Support (Sales-Oriented)
- Review and interpret OEM drawings, assembly layouts, and technical specifications to define services scope and requirements.
- Conduct on-site inspections at customer facilities to assess equipment condition and confirm services feasibility.
- Translate inspection findings into technical recommendations and tailored sales offers for clients.
- Ensure that all proposed services solutions comply with Fives’ engineering standards and customer specifications.
- Develop technical justifications and ROI cases to develop added value services.
- Present technical services solutions to customers.
- Prepare technical reports, inspection summaries, and post-service feedback to be shared with customers and internal teams.
4. Service Delivery & Excellence
- Supervise post-sales activities by collecting customer feedback and return-of-experience (ROE) data for continuous improvement.
- Support the design and execution of exhibitions, client presentations, and events to showcase Fives services capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and HSEQ requirements in all customer-facing activities.
5. Reporting & Coordination
- Provide regular reports on services business growth, customer activity, and project profitability.
- Maintain and update the client database and all sales leads/opportunities in the CRM in line with Company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, operations) to ensure smooth execution of services projects.
- Stay updated on competitors’: services capabilities & technologies, installed base performance, and regional market trends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline (Industrial/Mechatronics Engineering may be considered).
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in after-sales, service engineering, in Aluminum industry (preferably carbon plant).
- Experience in customer-facing roles, including sales support, negotiations, and technical presentations.
PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, CERTIFICATION OR MEMBERSHIPs:
Professional Knowledge:
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical services practices for heavy industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with site inspections and diagnostic techniques.
- Knowledge of after-sales business processes including proposals, costing, and contract negotiations.
- Awareness of HSEQ standards applicable to site-based services.
Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
- Project Management certification or equivalent for service project coordination.
- Sales or Business Development certifications in industrial/technical sectors.
Professional Memberships (an advantage):
- Membership in recognized engineering societies such as ASME, IMechE, or SPE.
- Affiliation with aluminium industry networks such as ICSOBA or TMS.
Registration as a Chartered/Professional Engineer (or equivalent) where applicable.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across GCC for site inspections, customer meetings, and technical/commercial discussions.
- Flexibility to work in industrial environments while adhering to HSEQ standards.
- Strong customer orientation with the ability to build trust and credibility in a multicultural environment.
- Capacity to work under pressure with tight deadlines for proposals, negotiations, and project support.
- High level of technical writing and presentation skills to communicate complex services solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of customer data and compliance with company ethics and policies.
