Project Manager

Reporting to the Operations Director

This role is responsible for the full P&L responsibility for the delivery of customer projects to be delivered to our customers on sites across the world.  

You will be expected to effectively manage the project team to ensure on time delivery to budget and to the quality requirements in a safe and mindful manner. Working closely with clients, senior managers and other members of the engineering and operational team you will take an active role in establishing the brief of the assigned projects, actively leading design and supply chain efforts in a Project Engineering role that result in the successful installation and commissioning of glass melting and glass conditioning projects.

It is acknowledged that project managers will have different skill sets and engineering backgrounds.  We will look to the project manager to take an active lead in the full scope of the project but with varying degrees of input across areas such as Mechanical Engineering, Structural Design, Materials and Equipment Selection and Electrical or Control Systems developments as appropriate. 

Overseas travel is a fundamental and ongoing requirement of this position. Travel to client’s sites may involve, but is not limited to, progress meetings, commissioning of equipment, and technical sales support. 

The Project Manager will have the ultimate profit and loss responsibility to secure the planned margin for the assigned project(s). Central to this is the on-going financial control and tracking of commitments made on projects through the execution phase.
