Compensation:
Installing, servicing and repairing electro-mechanical high value 5-axis equipment/machinery at customer sites. Delivering customer service excellence and identifying other value-added opportunities
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair electro-mechanical high value 5-axis equipment/machinery at customer sites following drawings, manufacturer’s instructions and customer specifications, utilising knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical machinery. Will usually be the sole FMS engineer on-site.
- Operate equipment/machinery through installation and commissioning to ensure that performance, quality and rate of running meet specifications.
- Train customer personnel on maintaining, adjusting and repairing equipment/machinery.
- Repair worn or defective equipment/machinery.
- Fault-find and diagnose equipment set-up and process issues; undertake troubleshooting on customer sites and internally.
- Work on equipment/machinery refurbishments, re-tools and refits where necessary.
- Document all inspections, maintenance and repair work, plus fault finding and diagnostics.
- Gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for promoting additional services/spare part sales etc. when working at customer sites.
- Maintain tools and test equipment in good condition; organise self in line with lean manufacturing principles, 5S standards etc.
- Work to a high standard at all times ensuring adherence to current FMS Health & Safety standards and promoting a professional and positive image of FMS.
- Understand own responsibilities in following Fives Golden Rules of Health & Safety, Values and Directives and act as a positive role model for good health & safety practices.
Support on-site at Cross Hills if and when required, working on Fives Landis Ltd. equipment/machinery. - Carry out any other reasonable duties as may be required.
