MRP Analyst
Scope of the role:
The MRP Analyst is responsible for managing and optimising Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes to ensure the timely availability of materials, alignment of supply with demand, and efficient production flow. The role supports the wider Production Control function by analysing system outputs, maintaining data integrity, and working cross-functionally to resolve supply and scheduling issues.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Execute and monitor MRP runs in SAP
- Analyse MRP outputs including planned orders and exception messages
- Support production planning and master schedule alignment
- Monitor stock levels and manage material availability
- Maintain master data accuracy (BOMs, routings, lead times)
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Sales
- Produce reports on shortages, risks, and inventory performance
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes
- Understand, and work at all times in line with Fives Values and Directives; specifically following the highest standards of health and safety.
- Responsible for all aspects of Data Protection, Information Security and Cyber Security.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested.

Key skills requirements:
- Experience in machine build or discrete manufacturing
- Knowledge of S&OP and capacity planning
- Familiarity with SAP transactions (MD04, MD01, MD02)
- Continuous improvement experience (Lean / Six Sigma)
- SAP Projects/WBS MRP exposure
- Automation opportunities (Power Automate/reporting improvements)
- Experience with SAP MRP/ERP systems (ECC6 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Material Requirements Planning principles
- Production planning and scheduling
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, reporting)
- Analytical and problem-solving capability
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work alone or part of a team.
- Able to manage own time and meet tight deadlines.
