Role:                                                    Service Engineer (Electrical, Automation & Instrumentation)

Experience:                                        7+ Years of experience in Plant & Equipment Maintenance (Aluminium Industry Preferable)

Educational Qualification:               B.E in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Automation Engineering / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering

Skills Required:

  1. Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, including motors, transformers, switchgear, control panels, electrical distribution systems, etc.
  2. Knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage systems
  3. Proficient in managing control systems (e.g., DCS, SCADA, PLC)
  4. Deep understanding of instrumentation (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments)
  5. Programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for process control and automation.
  6. Basic Knowledge of programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagrams.
  7. Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation diagrams and schematics
  8. Preferably, Hands on experience on Aluminium smelter equipment’s (PTM, GAP, Rodding Shop Maintenance)
  9. Basic understanding & execution of various maintenance philosophies
  10. Experience in development of maintenance strategy for rotating equipment and reliability improvement plans, SOPs to maintain and operate Electrical & Instrumentation system
  11. Experience in root cause analysis of equipment failures like FMEA, RCA

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. To carry out maintenance services and site project erection/commissioning.
  2. Site project management.
  3. To conduct on site audit for equipments and provide recommendation for better performance of the equipments
  4. Oversee the calibration, installation, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring they meet performance specifications.
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and equipment conditions. Provide detailed reports on maintenance progress and system health.
  6. To be able to handle refurbishment activities.
  7. To provide Technical Support to customers for Products
  8. On-Site Diagnostics and Service Calls
  9. Visiting client sites and performing upgrades, tests, and diagnostics
  10. Availability to travel
  11. Manage time on-site to meet project expectations. This may include re-organizing tasks to meet site conditions
  12. Function in accordance with Fives safety standards
  13. Supporting external and internal sales opportunities
