Experience:                                        7+ years of experience in Automation, Control Systems, and Commissioning within Process Industries (Aluminium industry preferred)

Educational Qualification:             B.E. / B.Tech in Automation Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering

Skills Required:

 

  1. Strong experience in automation systems engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting for industrial plants.

 

  1. Hands on expertise in PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems, including configuration, testing, and commissioning.

 

  1. Proficient in PLC programming and diagnostics using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagrams.

 

  1. Experience in loop checking, I/O validation, FAT, SAT, and site commissioning activities.

 

  1. Ability to read, interpret, and validate control logic, P&IDs, electrical drawings, and instrumentation schematics.

 

  1. Exposure to high voltage and low voltage electrical systems related to automation and control.

 

  1. Preferably hands on experience with Aluminium smelter equipment (PTM, GAP, Rodding Shop).

 

  1. Understanding of maintenance philosophies and their application to automation and control systems.

 

  1. Experience in developing commissioning procedures, SOPs, and reliability improvement plans.

 

  1. Experience in root cause analysis of automation and instrumentation failures (RCA, FMEA).

 

  1. Knowledge of site technical services, audits, and troubleshooting support.

 

  1. Experience in site project execution, erection coordination, and commissioning support.

 

  1. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with customer facing exposure.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Execute site erection, testing, and commissioning of automation, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

 

  1. Perform PLC/DCS/SCADA commissioning, system integration, and performance validation.

 

  1. Provide on site technical support, troubleshooting, and diagnostics during commissioning and operation.

 

  1. Conduct site audits of automation and instrumentation systems and recommend performance improvements.

 

  1. Support refurbishment, modernization, and system upgrade activities.

 

  1. Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, as built documentation, and system performance records.

 

  1. Provide technical support to customers for products and automation solutions.

 

  1. Attend site shutdowns, and critical commissioning activities.

 

  1. Willingness to travel extensively to client sites as required.

 

  1. Ensure compliance with Fives safety standards and site safety practices.

 

  1. Support internal and external sales teams with technical inputs, site assessments, and solution proposals.
