Main purpose

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Technical Sales Representative will maintain and develop sales for new equipment as well as services within the Fives services for Ontario Regions.

 

Tasks

  • Collaborate with the regional manager in the various sales and marketing activities;
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong business relationships with current and prospective distributors and end customers, to identify sales opportunities and generate new business in assigned territories.
  • Conduct demonstrations and presentations with customers about material handling and lifting equipment.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and timely resolutions of customer complaints and problems.
  • Prepare action plans for sales leads and prospects and other reports as required.
  • Achieve or exceed all standards for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals and closes.
  • Reviews incoming proposals including contracts, terms and conditions and statements of work to determine risk factors and areas of concern. Works with branch manager to create project budgets to minimize risks and protect gross margins;
  • Follow up on quotation;
  • Assist in preparing scope of work and technical specification documents during project proposal and execution phase;

 

 

Education & qualification

 

  • Min 3-5 years related experience in service and industrial sales. Having an experiences in overhead crane business sales is an asset
  • Degree in an technical fields (electrical or mechanical) considered as an asset, or equivalent combination of education and experience ;
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer relationship management.
  • Logical thinker pertaining to issues & tasks and ability to provide solutions
  • Able to prioritize various tasks and work independently
  • Strong analytical, planning & execution skills
  • Fluent in English (verbal & written)
  • Ability to work with SAP system
  • Driving licence valid without restriction.
