About the job
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our Finance team. This is a newly created position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of our financial processes.
Our site in Allschwil, Switzerland is one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of cryogenic pumps for the liquefied gas industry.
What you’ll do
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
- Perform regular analysis of business performance and report variances.
- Contribution to monthly, quarterly and yearly closings.
- Prepare and drive the costing update processes.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance and internal control within area of responsibility
- Continuous improvement of business processes and ensure suitable financial performance measurement (KPI).
What You Bring
We’re seeking a qualified professional with a minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 3 to 5 years in a similar position.
- Good business background and a strategic understanding, with relevant business controlling experience in an international environment.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem solving
- Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to see the whole picture, as well as an eye for details.
- Proficient Office365 skills.
- Exhibit high levels of self-control, self-confidence, and flexibility.
- Self-driven, well organized, independent
- Able to co-operate across functions and communicate with all levels.
- Fluent written and spoken English and French
- Strong skills in excel, provide business reports giving the overview as well and the required details to show the state of business.
- Passion for purpose-driven work and a desire to contribute to Alfa Laval’s sustainability mission.
